As a professional teacher, mentor, and facilitator working with children and adults for over 20 years, I have always been passionate about nurturing growth, creativity, and connection in others. Now as a Registered Professional Counsellor Candidate (RPC-C) and fully practicing member of the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (CPCA), I use a person-centered, trauma-informed approach with an existential lens to help individuals work through feelings of disconnection, isolation, and loss to develop resilience out of adversity.
Having spent many years working on my own mental, emotional, and spiritual health with the support of some amazing counsellors and mentors, I now also get to support individuals who similarly struggle with low self-esteem and/or mild to moderate depression and anxiety related to relationships and family. It is hard to see the path ahead when we are feeling disconnected, and based on both my personal experience and professional training, I know that these challenges are often rooted in our early life experiences and ancestral histories. I truly believe that gaining a deeper understanding and awareness of how these have impacted your inner world can help you develop greater self-compassion and connection to others so you can move forward with more confidence and ease in all areas of your life.
