Helping adults with social & relationship anxiety feel more connected.
You have always struggled to find a place where you belong.
You crave meaningful connection and have so much to give, but you second-guess yourself and feel paralyzed and uncertain in social situations.
You often feel like you are both too much and not enough at the same time, and you wonder why you overthink things that seem to come so effortlessly to others.

Neurodiversity comes in many shapes and forms and can impact all aspects of our lives. Combined with the push and pull of navigating diverse cultural and societal expectations, this can lead to feelings of anxiety and depression.
You may or may not specifically identify as neurodiverse, but maybe you have struggled for years with self-doubt and low self-esteem; maybe you have many strengths but have struggled to live up to your full potential; maybe you live with feelings of social isolation and loneliness, or struggle to feel connected to your loved ones; maybe you are feeling overwhelmed by the context of your life and aren’t sure if the path you are on is the right one for you; or maybe you are searching for a deeper meaning to your life and you don’t know where to start.
I truly believe that the best way to break out of these old patterns and create new ones is through self-awareness and self-compassion. The answer to deeper connections with others lies in a deeper connection with yourself.

As a professional teacher, mentor, and facilitator working with children and adults in Vancouver, BC for over 20 years, as well as a musician, singer, and song-writer, I have always been passionate about nurturing growth, creativity, and connection in others.
Now as a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC) with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada (ACCT) and a Master Practitioner in Clinical Counselling (MPCC)-Provisional with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (CPCA), I support neurodiverse adults from across Canada who struggle to build satisfying relationships.
Being a second-generation immigrant and having recently become aware of my own AuDHD (Autism + ADHD) tendencies, I understand how early life challenges along with cultural diversity can have a lasting impact on our sense of belonging. We can feel deeply misunderstood in our intentions while seeking the meaningful connections we crave, and can get caught in patterns of over-thinking and masking that lead to anxiety, depression, and exhaustion.
I have walked this path myself, and after spending many years working on my own mental, emotional, and spiritual health with the support of some amazing counsellors and mentors, I have learned that sometimes the only way around these challenges is through them. It is through acknowledging and accepting our past that we can make new and more empowering choices for our future.

That gentle invitation and call to courage from my first counsellor many years ago has been my guiding light in seeking out and connecting to the deeper layers of myself with compassion and acceptance. This path to inner healing is also the inspiration for Bright Wings Wellness Counselling.
Whether your bright wings belong to a butterfly emerging from the cocoon, a bird taking flight from the nest, or a phoenix rising from the ashes, I can help you find the answers to a more aligned, connected life that have been inside you all along.

At Bright Wings Wellness Counselling, I offer one-on-one online counselling support for adults who struggle to feel connected, purposeful, and motivated in their life, often due to the impact of the intersection of neurodiversity (ADHD, Autism, or a combination) and cultural diversity on their relationships.
